Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick list of things that helped me when I went apartment hunting for the first time:
✅ Bring a list of questions – Ask about utilities, internet, laundry, heating, and what’s included in the rent. Don’t be shy!
✅ Check cell reception – Sounds minor, but bad signal can be super frustrating.
✅ Visit the neighbourhood – Walk around at different times of the day if you can. It gives a better feel for safety and noise.
✅ Take photos or notes – You might view more than one place and it’s easy to forget details.
✅ Be prepared to act fast – In high-demand areas, places go quickly. Having your documents ready (ID, proof of income, references) can make a big difference.
Hope this helps someone! If anyone else has good questions to ask during a viewing, drop them below 🏡✨
